I was trying to leave an email on the request info but cannot seem to get it sent to you. I am looking to see if you have a list of deceased buried in your cemeteries. I am doing family research and my GreatGreat Aunt Margaret (Maggie) Hine died in 1903 and is buried in Carievale. She was born in 1882 in England. Your assistance would be appreciated. Starla

Sure wish I could've been there for your centennial...would've had a major blast re-connecting with some familiar faces and taken a stroll down memory lane. It seems like forever since I was there...but I do hope to get back there one of these fine days! If you'd like to send a message, I'd dearly love to hear from you. Take care, everyone! Greetings to everyone in Carievale. What a surprise and a joy to find this site alive and well. It has been a long time since Eric Hoefer and I first funded Carievale,s participation in the Tradecorridor website. I'm pleased to see Carievale is well represented here. It speaks tremendously about the character of our community. Yes, "our" community. Carievale still feels like home even though we've been gone since 1996. Everyone should feel proud of our community. Carievale isn't huge but its heart is. It was well demonstrated during homecoming. It was great to see everyone and to visit with so many friends once again. It really was a tremendous time. Exhausting for many of you, but a tremendous time!!! On behalf of us all, I wish everyone the very best for health, happiness and prosperty in all the coming years. Bruce

SURNAME GILLILAND: Have been doing family history on my husbands side of the family and his mother's maiden name was Gilliland. I recently came across a wedding announcement for my husbands Grandparents Joseph Alexander Gilliland and Lena Dell Sexsmith. It states in the announcement that Joseph was formerly of Carievale, Saskatchewan so thought I'd look up Carievale and see what it had to offer. If anyone has any information on the Gillilands of Carievale, please contact me.

Thank you Carievale and area residents for such a fantastic celebration. From the Friday evening program, to the school districts setup in the Lodge Hall, the GREAT parade, the Saturday evening dance, the museum in the school and bridal fashion show, to meeting old friends and relatives - a lot of hard work appreciated by all us who came 'home'. Well done.

A very interesting website, thank you. We were in Carievale in June 2002 and had a wonderful time. The people were very hospitable. I was born in Carievale on the Norris farm just east of town, March 28, 1932. Our family left Carievale in 1934 and headed north to settle in Rapid Bend (east of Big River). If there is anyone visiting out west here, please feel free to drop in and say hello!
