| Found this site as I was researching the camping facilities at Hoffer Lake. The folks (Ronnie and Dororthy Krueger) are less than a mile from the lake and we were interested in staying at the lake over the 4th of July. What a great town to grow up in! When looking for a house in the Pierre, SD area, we chose the farming community of Onida (30 miles north of Pierre, SD on Hwy 83) due to its small town feel. It reminded me a lot of McClusky and I really wanted my kids to experience that way of life. Our church is very much like my church back home, as well, (Grace Lutheran). For all you snowbirds traveling Hwy 83 south, we are the brick house 9 miles south of Onida. Stop in on your way through! | |
